So we LOVE to post about our fantastic trips that we always go on. But sometimes there are weekends that trips out of Pohang are not had, and we decide to stay home and enjoy that beautiful city we live in.
A few weeks ago, right after Malaysia, a few friends and I decided to go check out the great 12 waterfalls right on the outskirts of Pohang. It was a really great day. I met with Therese and the twins Pips and Jax in the morning and we took the pleasant hour long bus ride right to where we had to go. The weather could seriously not have been better. It was sunny but definitely not too hot.
We first walked through the small village along the mountain and then headed on the pleasant walk through the mountain to see the waterfalls.

It was a really nice day of just enjoying nature and the weather.
Another weekend, some of us decided to have a bake-off competition because we all recently got ovens. Ovens here in Korea are very rare , and baking isn’t very popular here. So getting an oven was a very exciting thing for all of us.
So the competitors were 1) Jax and Pips 2) Sinead and Sam 3) Iris and Sam (me). We decided to all meet at the Homeplus at noon on Sunday, where we discussed the rules of the bake-off. We then all sped up to the grocery store part of Homeplus and bought the ingredients necessary for our recipes. After getting the goods, we all went back out the three homes with ovens, and had 2 hours to bake our food. Iris and I were making Blondies (white chocolate brownies), Jax and Pips were making Carrot Cake, and Sinead and Sam were making an Apple Cake.

Once we all finished, we met up at Pip’s house and had the taste testing. The winners by one point were Sinead and Sam with their yummy Apple Cake. All in all it was a very nice Sunday afternoon.
